Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study the expressions of NF-κBP50,VEGF and MVD in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and evaluate their clinical significance. METHODS: The expressions of NF-κB p50, VEGF and MVD were detected in 62 cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and 10 cases of reactive proliferation lymph node by the immunohistochemical staining. RESULTS: The positive rate of NF-κB p50in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma was 63%(39/62) while the positive rate of VEGF was 68%(42/62), but none was expressed in reactive proliferation lymph node. The expression of NF-κB p50was significantly related to pathological type and the response to therapy(P0.05). Meanwhile, the expression of VEGF and MVD were significantly associated with the stage, pathological type, LDH, IPI and the response to therapy(P0.05). The mean MVD value in group with NF-κB p50 and VEGF positive expressions was significantly higher than that in the negative group. NF-κB p50 expression was positively related to the expression of VEGF in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(r=0.285,P=0.025). CONCLUSIONS:VEGF can be upregulated by NF-κB p50in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, then promotes angiogenesis. So that they may play an important role in the tumorgenesis and development.
