Prevalence of Common Diseases among Senior High School Students in Yanji City in 2009 and 2010

[Objective]To understand the prevalence and trend of common diseases among senior high school students in Yanji city,provide the basis for prevention and control of common diseases in students.[Methods]According to the methods and requirements of the Screening criteria of height and weight for Chinese children in 2000 and the Handbook of health monitoring for Chinese students in 2000,the physical examination and common diseases monitoring were conducted among students in 2009 and 2010.[Results]The detection rates of poor eyesight,dental caries and obesity were high,and showed an increasing trend.The detection rate of malnutrition showed a downward trend.The detection rates of poor eyesight and dental caries of girls were higher than those of boys,the detection rates of obesity and malnutrition of girls were lower than those of boys,and the differences were significant(P0.01).[Conclusion]It is necessary to carry out the comprehensive prevention measures to effectively control and reduce the incidence of poor eyesight and dental caries.
