Analysis for Common Disease Condition of Primary and Secondary School Students in Songjiang District in Shanghai

Objective To study the prevalence of poor eye-sight,obesity and dental caries among primary and secondary school students and the effect evaluation of health education,so as to provide scientific reference for student health services.Methods The health examination data among students from 2006 to 2008 was analyzed and the health education was provided to the students during the summer holiday.Results The rate of poor eyesight,obesity and dental caries were increasing by the year(P0.01),which increased from 46.46%,10.91%and 22.51% in 2006 to 49.45%,12.56% and 27.39% in 2008.The rate of malnutrition was decreasing annually(P0.01),which decreased from 22.58% in 2006 to 19.03% in 2008.Conclusion The knowledge of poor eye-sight,obesity and dental caries prevention should be strengthened among the students and make prevention measurement and strategies in early.
