Application of modified low site puncture of internal jugular vein in the children anesthesia

Objective: To investigate the value of modified low site puncture of internal jugular vein in the children anesthesia.Methods: Practiced modified low site puncture of internal jugular vein for 75 children patients undergoing anesthesia.Results: Of the 75 cases,64 cases succeeded with once puncture(85%),8 cases completed with twice puncture,3 cases failed in puncture,the overall success rate was 96.0%;mistakes occurred in 2 cases for puncturing into arteries;no other complication took place.Conclusion: Modified low site puncture of internal jugular vein was suitable for children anesthesia with higher success rate and little complication.
