Abstract
Objective:To compare the success rate and complication incidence between jugular and subclavian vein punctures in the central vein catheterization. Methods:The patients undergoing deep venous puncture and catheterization were divided into two groups:internal jugular vein group(n=72) and subclavian vein group(n=54).The success rate and complications were compared. Results:The internal jugular vein group had higher success rate and fewer complications compared with the subclavian vein group(P0.05).Conclusion:Internal jugular vein puncture is safer and more practical than subclavian vein puncture in clinical anesthesia.
