Diagnostic value of microalbuminuria and beta 2 microglobulin united detection for diabetes nephrosis

Abstract

Objective To study the urine beta 2 micro globulin(beta 2-MG) and trace albumin(mAlb) to the early diagnostic value for diabetes nephrosis.Methods A total of 85 patients with diabetes mellitus(DM) were investigated for their urine beta 2-MG and mAlb by radioimmunoassay,and 70 cases of health and medical personnel were as the control. Results The urine beta 2-MG and mAlb of the DM patients was significantly higher than those of healthy group,and there was a significant difference(P0.01).Conclusions The united detection of urine beta 2-MG and mAlb has a significantly early diagnostic value for DM and diabetic nephropathy(DN).
