Abstract
With the arrival of the information era,the mass media has become the dominant way for people to communicate and to get information,which means that the media is playing an increasingly important role in our social lives and people's needs for media are becoming greater and greater,therefore,media literacy has become one of people's important attainments.The thesis expounds on the connotation of media literacy,traces back to the origin of media literacy and its history of development,and introduces the current situation of the research and practice of media literacy education with a view to strengthening the journalists' media literacy education,and improving the overall media literacy level of journalists and the public.
