The Construction and Development of Media Literacy

As media have become one of the most important sources of our knowledge with the coming of the information age,media literary movement has also stepped onto a new stage.This paper,on the basis of introducing media literacy as the ability to access,analyze,evaluate,communicate messages in a wide variety of forms,further explores the concept of media literacy on two levels-media message literacy and media social literacy.Through a presentation of some debates revolving around media literacy,this paper also demonstrates the necessity of introducing media education into China.
