Abstract
The 2-hydroxy-4-sulfamylbenzendiazoaminoazobenzene(HSDAA) was synthesized. In Na 2B 4O 7-NaOH medium of pH=9.5—11.5 with surface active agent of triton X-100,HSDAA forms a 1∶2 red complex with Zn(Ⅱ).The molar absorbability of the complex is e=1.24×10 5L·mol·cm -1 at 530nm.The Beer's law is well obeyed in the range of 0—480μg/L for zinc. This method was used to determine trace amounts of zinc in sample with satisfactory results.
