Abstract
The establishment of Sino-Swiss FTA has demonstration effect and reference significance. The research on the competitiveness and complementarity of Sino-Swiss bilateral trade is benefit to improving the harmonious development of Sino-Swiss bilateral trade, promoting the economy and trade development between China and EU, and accelerating to implement CFTA strategy. Based on analyzing the status quo of Sino-Swiss bilateral trade, this paper takes TI, ESI, RCA, and TC indexes to investigate on the competitiveness and complementarity, and the results reveal that the bilateral scale develops rapidly,has stronger complementarity, and the export goods have competitiveness but show weakening trend. Finally, this paper proposes the optimization of industrial structure, adjustment of export goods structure, acceleration in bilateral FTA construction and other measures to expand bilateral economy and trade cooperation.
