Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of HuaBianLian(HBL) extract on apoptosis of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells.Methods The proliferation was tested by MTT assay.Morphological changes of apoptosis were observed with fluorescence microscope.Cell cycle and apoptosis rate were determined by flow cytometry.Result HBL extract could induce apoptosis of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cell and inhibit its proliferation,SGC-7901 cells showed the rate of apoptosis increased with the increasing concentration of the drug,and cell cycle progression was blocked in the S phase.Conclusion HBL extract could induce apoptosis and inhibit proliferation of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cell;The mechanism might be related to the block of cell cycle progression in the S phase.
