Effects of Qiangji Jianli Decoction on morphologic organs in rats with kidney deficiency

Objective:To observe the pathological changes of organs in rats with kidney deficiency and the effect of Qiangji Jianli Decoction(QJJL) on morphologic organs.Methods:30 healthy male SD rats were randomized into 6 groups: normal group, model group, QJJL preparation group (including small dosage,middle dosage, large dosage), and the group treated with Yougui Wan. Except normal group, the rats in other 5 groups received intramuscular injection of Hydrocortosonym to induce kindey deficiency. Meanwhile, groups of QJJL and Yougui Wan received the TCM by gastric gavage respectively. Other groups applied with the same volume of distilled water for 14 days.24 hours after last administration, dissecting rats and pathological changes of adrenal,thymus,spleen and testis were examined.Results:In model group, adrenal,thymus,spleen and testis showed different degrees of damage. QJJL Decoction and Yougui Wan could promote the repair of the organs.Conclusion: QJJL Decoction can relieve the injury of adrenal,thymus,spleen and testis caused by kidney deficiency and protect them.
