Abstract
Mr.LIAO Ming-chun contends that the character tong should be interpreted as to get rid or strip off, except the tong of Lu(the 56th hexagram in the received version of Zhouyi)should be interpreted as slave.Mr.WU Xin-chou maintains that LIAO's opinions are untenable both textually and methodologically. But this paper thinks although Mr.LIAO's opinions are short of proofs, but Mr.WU's discussion misunderstands the image thinking characteristics in which the idea is digressed from Zhouyi.
