Abstract

The former 2-D flow mathematic model for flood detention area constructed is improved and a new mathematic model is set up in the paper considering the difference between water flow movement peculiarities inside and outsider of river channel. The situation of with or without embankment on the both sides of drainage channel in flood detention areas is also considered in the model calculation. The new model is proved to be reliable through calculation of flood propagation in generalized topography.
