Abstract

Objective:To establish an RP - HPLC method for the determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in Sambucus chinensis Undl.. Methods:A Hypersile -ODS2column (4. 6 mm 250 mm,5μm) was used with the mobile phase being methanol -water (85:15) ,flow rate being 0.8 mL·min-1 .determinating wavelength being 210 nm,the column temperature being 30℃. Results:The calibration curve was linear in the range of 2. 6 - 104.0 μg·mL-1 for oleanolic acid (r=0.9999) ,and the regression equation being Y=1.269×10~4X-8.296×10~3. The average recovery was 102.1%. The calibration curve was linear in the range of 2.3- 92.0μg·mL-1 for ursolic acid ( r = 0.9999) ,and the regression equation being Y=1.226×10~4X-5. 186×10~3. The average recovery was 97.6%. Conclusion:The method is simple, accurate and reproducible for quality control of Sambucus chinensis Lindl. .
