HPLC DETERMINATION OF URSOLIC ACID AND OLEANOLIC ACID IN SAMBUCUS CHINENSIS LINDL

Abstract

To develop a new method for determination of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid in Sambucus chinensis Lindl, HPLC was carried out on a Symmetry C18 column using MeOHH2O(88∶12),with detection at 220 nm,flow rate 0.6 mL/min and column temperature 25 ℃.RSD were all less than 2.5%.The average recoveries of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid were 98.32%±2.12% and 97.92%±1.69%,respectively.The contents of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid were simultaneously determined by HPLC.The method is accurate,sensitive and reliable to be used for quality control to medicinal materials of Sambucus chinensis Lindl.
