On the causes of formation of the dual legal system of Yuan Dynasty

Abstract

Yuan Dynasty was the first unified state established by minority(the Mongolian) in ancient China.Since then,the traditional Confucian legal thought began being impacted by the Mongolian legal culture.Under the interaction of these two different kinds of legal cultures,the dual legal system in Yuan Dynasty with unique characteristics was formed.
