Xiaochaihu Decoction combined Lifting Powder Treatment of Chronic Cough in 32 cases

[Objective]To study clinical curative effect of Xiaochaihu decoction combined Lifting powder in treating chronic cough.[Method]According to the cough diagnosis and treatment guide(2009 Edition) diagnostic criteria,64 patients with chronic cough were selected in randomly and divided into treatment group(32 cases) and control group 32 cases.The patients in treatment group treated with Xiaochaihu decoction combined Lifting powder while control group treated with Zhenkening.The period of treatment in two groups was 1 weeks,and continuous treatment observation was 2 weeks.The main indexes for research was total effective rate,the cure rate and reduce time or fade time of cough.[Result]The total effective rate and cure rate in treatment group was respectively 87.5%and 53.13%,while,the control group is respectively 65.62% and 28.12%(P0.05).The relief times of cough in treatment group was 5.04±1.57 days and healing times of cough was 8.14±1.53days,significantly better than those in control group of 6.76±1.70days,9.23±1.81days(P0.05).[Conclusion] The basic etiology of chronic cough is helm adverse while gas of lung inverse,therefore,a better clinical effect can be obtained in chronic cough treated with Xiaochaihu Decoction combined Lifting Powder.
