Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the correlation between the acquired resistance-related genes and the markers of mobile genetic elements in multidrug-resistant Klebsiella.METHODS The acquired resistance genes toβ-lactams,aminoglycosides,quinolones,rifampicin,disinfectants and genetic markers of mobile genetic elements including conjugal plasmids, transposons, insertion sequences, and integrons in 20 strains of multidrug-resistant Klebsiella were detected by polymerase-chain-reaction(PCR)then the index cluster analysis was performed to analyze the relationship between the acquired resistance genes and the markers of mobile genetic elements.RESULTS The drug resistance rates of the 20 strains of multidrug-resistant Klebsiellato 15 antimicrobial drugs varied between 35.0% and 100.0%,and 7 acquiredβ-lactam-resistance genes,4 acquired aminoglycosideresistance genes,2 acquired quinolone-resistance genes,1acquired rifampicin-resistance gene,1 acquired disinfectantresistance gene, and 9 mobile genetic elements have been detected.Index cluster analysis showed that the resistance genes(KPC,SHV,qacE△1)were highly correlated with mobile genetic elements(ISKpn6,intⅠ1,tnp315,IS26).CONCLUSIONIn this group of Klebsiellastrains, the acquired resistance genes may result in the drug resistance to related antibiotics, and the index cluster analysis indicates that the acquired resistance genes are closely related to the mobile genetic elements.
