Abstract

This paper introduces a method to design a long-way information management system by GSM short message service (SMS) based on mobile agent model, to devise its database system and build the application server. The result helps to establish population investigation system for the various departments and SMS based information on command. The peculiarity of this system is it's good expansibility and cheapness. The normal mobile phone is the client and the server is composed of a normal PC or a special sever and a GSM controller.
