Abstract
Objective To study the chemical constituents of the rhizome of Curcuma kwangsiensis S.G.Lee et C.F.Ling.Methods The chemical constituents were isolated by a combination of silica gel, sephadex LH-20,PTLC and HPLC.The structures of these compounds were identified by the physico-chemical evidences and NMR spectroscopic data. Results Six compounds were isolated from the rhizome of Curcuma kwangsiensis and identified as furanodiene(1),germacrone(2),furanodienone(3),zederone(4),4-hydroxybenzoic acid(5)and p-hydroxycinnamic acid(6).Conclusions Compounds 1 and 36 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
