Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between 3'-variable numble of tandem repeats ( 3'-VNTR) of apoprotein B and cerebrovascular disease in Changsha. Methods 3'-VNTR of apoB in 130 cerebral infarction patients, 130 cerebral hemorrhage patients and 100 normal persons as control group were analyzed by PCR and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. TG, TC, HDL and LDL were examined by oxidase method. Serum level of LP(a) was determined by ELISA and apoB-100 and apoA-Ⅰwere examined by immune method. Results ①The frequency of allele B of apoB in cerebral infarction group was 0.150, which was higher than that in the control group(0.080, p0.05); while the frequency of allele B of apoB in cerebral hemorrhage group (0.077) has no significant difference with that of control group. ②In cerebral infarction group, levels of TC, TG and LDL-C of B/S or B/B gene types were significantly higher than that of S/S gene type; but in cerebral hemorrhage group, levels of all serum lipid of B/S or B/B gene types had no significant difference with that of S/S gene type. Conclusions ① Cerebral infarction in Changsha may be related with apoB 3'-VNTR, but cerebral hemorrhage has no relationship with apoB 3'-VNTR. ② ApoB 3'-VNTR may increase the onset of cerebral infarction by affecting levels of serum lipid.
