Spatial Distribution of the Comprehensive Level of Urbanization in Chongqing

12pivotal indices,which reflect the important connotation of urbanization in the population,economy and social life of people,were selected to build a comprehensive evaluation index system for urbanization evaluation and by employing the improved entropy method the comprehensive urbanization level of Chongqing in the year of 2012was worked out and by use of the spatial autocorrelation method the level space pattern was analyzed.The results showed:the comprehensive level of urbanization in Chongqing 2012is far from satisfactory,with drastic difference found in its spatial distribution.The spatial pattern of comprehensive urbanization level of Chongqing is more advanced in one-hour economic circle in sharp contrast with the less advanced level in the two wings,which indicates that the comprehensive urbanization level of Chongqing takes a strongly aggregated distribution pattern,having formed 5aggregation centers.And correspondent measures were proposed.
