Abstract
Combining regional urbanization difference anal ysis with exploratory spatial data analysis, by support of software Arc GIS 9.3 and spatial statistical analysis software Geo Da, the regional difference analysis of the relative development index of urbanization of Chongqing in 3 time periods of 2004, 2008 and 2012 was conducted. By calculating the global spatial autocorrelation index and local spatial autocorrelation index, the urbanization development differences of Chongqing were discussed, and the reasons for the differences were analyzed. The analysis concluded that, the regional urbanization level of Chongqing shows obvious local spatial autocorrelation agglomeration patter in space. On the result, some suggestion to improve the urbanization level was put forward.
