Abstract

Objective: To observe the valsartan assisted the clinical efficacy of treatment for essential hypertension.Method: From January 2006 to December 2009,216 cases of primary hypertension treated in our Hospital were randomly divided into two groups(valsartan adjuvant therapy) and control group(conventional treatment group) each with 108 cases, treatment cycle lasted 8 weeks, the curative effects were observed and compared.Result: 64 cases were excellent, effective in 38 cases, total effective rate was 94.5%;In control group,47 cases was markedly effective, effective in 41 cases, total effective rate was 81.4%.There's significant difference between the two groups(P 0.01).In the 8-week course of treatment, two patients had serious adverse reactions, adverse events rate between the two groups no significant difference(P 0.05),not statistically significant. Conclusion: Valsartan adjuvant treatment of primary hypertension can significantly improve the treatment effect,It is worthy of clinical use.
