From Poetry Talks Approach to the Images in Chinese and English Poetry

Image is an important and creative way to express poet’ feelings in poems.Although there are similarities in images in both Chinese and English poems,such as effect,way of creation and objects,there are differences in choosing objects because of the different national environment,social culture background and customs.This paper compares and analyzes the images in Chinese and English poetry from poetry talks,and concludes that their difference is in accordance with divergence between Chinese and western aesthetics.
