Abstract
Agricultural pollution is widely found and difficult to be controlled. Based on the analysis of water utilization, water table fluctuation, farmland drainage in the representative area of Yanqi basin, it is concluded that over irrigation will not only waste water, leach fertilizer and decrease crop production, but also pollute surface and groundwater and lead to soil salinization and water logging. Therefore, the authors have put forward effective measures to control agricultural pollution and synthetically remedy and improve the environment by water saving irrigation and rational water development.
