on Poetryis a special critic style in ancient China.This kind of style with a strong sense poeticness plays an important role in revealing the essence of poem and concluding the poetic laws,for it both combines the poetic style and different artistic devices to criticize poems.But the fundamental reason to decide the poeticness is the symbolic way of thinking pattern,which goes against ordinary reasoning and abstract comments.The reasons for the formation of Poems on Poetry are two folded.Objectively,it is in accordance with the literarization process of critic style in ancient China.Subjectively,it is due to the two functions of the critic style in ancient China.Nowadays given the aphasia of Chinese literary theories,something new should be fused into Poems on Poetry that will play an integral role in today's literary critic system.
