Abstract
The serious problem of modern Chinese poetry is the construction of poetic style. The wide abuse of freedom among poets results in the shallowness and prolixity. Modern poets should consciously learn from ancient Chinese poems, strengthen their sense of form and pay more attention to the construction of poetic style, hence to effectively improve the artistic quality of modern poetry.
