The Theorectical Character of the Poems on Chinese Poetry

The poems on Chinese poetry are a kind of pattern in ancient Chinese literary criticism.From these poems,we can see the ideas,standpoint and values on poetry.They have two characteristics.First,large groups of poems may reveal the features of poetic history.Second,the consciousness of distinguishing style may give selection and judgment on poetic history.The standard is to large extent depends on the author who comments on different poets,thus making different moods and striking standpoints on poetry.The poems on poetry are not abstract but have aesthetical images,which comes from a sudden thought.And some famous lines are beyond usual criticism on poetry and rise up as a poetic philosophy.
