The value of 256-slice spiral CT CTP combined with CTA in diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction

Abstract

Objective To explore the value of the whole brain perfusion(CTP)combination with CT angiography(CTA)technique in acute cerebral infarction application,and to assess the status of cerebral artery relationship with cerebral infoarction.Methods 20patients with clinical suspicion of acute cerebral infarction underwent routine CT scan,CTP and CTA examination.The CT scan images,perfusion images and CTA reconstructed image were observed,MRI examination was performed 24hours after CT scan.Results In 21patients with cerebral infarction,CTA found 33artery stenosis and occlusion,including 4cases of mild stenosis,13cases of moderate stenosis,7cases of severe stenosis,occlusion 9 cases.In 21patients,CTP found 32of the infarction.In 21cases of abnormal perfusion image,MTT and TTP were significantly longer,CBV and CBF decreased significantly compared with the contralateral statistically significant difference( P 0.01).TTP and MTT surrounding area extended,CBV increased,CBF decreased compared with the contralateral and centrne area(P 0.01).Conclusion 256-slice spiral CT CTP combined CTA scanning method is simple and can effectively evaluate artery ischemic brain tissue conditions and hemodynamic changes.
