Study of Personality and Intervention Strategy of Freshmen in Normal University

Objective The aim was to inverstigate freshmen in teaching college,to understand personality traits of freshmen,to find out the psychological problems as soon as possible,to carry on postive intervention measurements and provide reference in training their wholesome personality.Method A survey was conducted by using EPQ among 577 freshmen in shenzhen university.The data were analyzed by SPSS statistic software.Results The score of normal college students in EPQ-E was higher,while scores in EPQ-P,EPQ-N and EPQ-L were lower than those of the EPQ normal;There was a significant difference according to gender;There were also significant differences between singleton and non-singleton,countryside-resource students and city-resource students in EPQ-E as well as EPQ-L.Not any significant difference exited among science majors,liberal arts majors and art majors except EPQ-E.Conclusion We should pay attention to developing students' personal characteristics and take intervention measures to improve personality disorder of students.
