Study on personality trait of undergraduate medical students in Xinjiang

Objective:Study the medical students personality. Put forward the reasonable suggestion for the medical students mental health. Methods:This study enrolled 306 medical students as the subjects in a medical university in xingjiang Province,china,conducted questionnaire of EPQ and the general state of self-questionnaire. Results:(1) There is significant difference between the medical students and the national youth norm in the result of EPQ questionnaire. (2) There is significant difference between different grades. (3) There is significant difference between the students who obtain scholarships and the students who did not obtain. (4) There is significant difference between the minority students and the Han students. Conclusion:The dominant type of personality among medical students in Xinjiang showed extroverted and stability personality which is characteristic of professional needs.
