The EPQ and SCL -90 investigation analysis of 221 college students

Abstract

Objective:The objective was to discuss college students'personality characteristics and mental health. Method:With Eysenck Personal Questionnaire (EPQ) and Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL - 90) , we investigated 230 college students. Results:1.E and L score of EPQ in college students was different significantly from the norm. 2. All factor score of SCL-90 in college students were higher than those of youth norm in China. 2. Neuroticism, month family earning, acquiring scholarship or not and dissimulation was the main variables which influenced the mental health of college students. Conclusion:1.We should reinforce students'mental health education. 2. Personality characteristics and economical factor had great influence on the mental health of college students.
