Abstract
Objective To observe the protective effect of additional Xiaoxianxiong decoction pretreatment in rabbits with myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI). Methods Totally 32 rabbits, with health, of clean grade, of male, were divided randomly into 4 groups(n=8 in each group): sham operation group (A group), model group (B group), traditional Chinese medicine low dosage group (C group) and high dosage group (D group). The levels of serum SOD and MDA content were measured. Results After ischemia reperfusion, serum SOD and MDA content in B, C and D group were significantly different as compared with A group (P0.05); serum SOD and MDA content in C and D group were significantly different as compared with B group (P0.05); The serum SOD and MDA content in C group were not significantly different as compared with D group (P0.05). Conclusion Additional Xiaoxianxiong decoction has the function of cleaning out oxygen free radical, alleviating the extent of the myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury.
