Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of amlodipine combined with valsartan in treatment of patients with mild and moderate hypertension. Methods According to the therapeutic schemes,145 patients with mild and moderate hypertension were divided into group A,B,C.The patients in the group A(n=55) were treated by amlodipine combined with valsartan, while in the group B(n=45) and group C(n=45),patients were treated only by amlodipine and valsartan respectively. Results After the treatment, the values of systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) in group A were remarkably lower than that of the other two groups(P0.05),but there was no statistical difference in the values of SBP and DBP between group B and group C(P0.05).The excellent rate of group A was greatly higher than that of group B and group C(P0.05),but there was no statistical difference between group B and group C(P0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of mild and moderate hypertension, the therapeutic effect of combination of amlodipine and valsartan is remarkably superior to amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy, and the combination therapy is an optimal one for treating mild and moderate hypertension.
