Abstract
With ethyl alcohol and β-naphthol as raw materials, the method for catalytically synthesizing β-naphthyl ethyl ether with ferric chloride(FeCl3·6H2O)was introduced. The effects of reaction time, the catalyst consumption and the reaction molar ratio on the synthesis were discussed, and the optimum reaction conditions wer given.
