Abstract
This paper studies the synthesis of β-naphthyl ethyl ether under microwave radiation with β-naphthol and ethanol as raw material and aluminium sulfate as catalyst.Through orthogonal analysis, the optimum conditions are obtained as follows:the molar ratio of β-naphthol to ethanol 1∶5.5,the mass ratio of catalyst to reactants 1:5.95,reaction temperature 100 ℃ and reaction time 20 min.The yield of β-naphthyl ethyl ether was up to 70% under the best conditions. The products have been certified by their m.p and IR spectrum.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
