Abstract

SHEN Cong-wen constructs a poetry and indistinct world of Xiangxi which has influenced him deeply. That world is filled with the glorification of love,beauty and life.He draws the inspiration from his familiar life,selects something influencing him most,pursues concision,implication,felicity and simplicity in language, creates novels in an extraordinary perseverance and improves them in an appropriate criterion.Therefore, those form the feature of his novels:freshness,naturalness,obscurity and poetry.
