Abstract
Objective: To evaluate soft and hard tissue profile changes in Angle classⅡ 1cases after extraction treatment with edgewise appliance . Methods:Patients with class Ⅱ 1malocclusion aged 11~16 was selected. All patients were treated with edgewise technique and 4 premolar extraction .Cephalometrics before treatment and after treatment were performed. Cephalometric measurement was obtained and statistical analysis. Results:SNA reduced 1.1°(p0.05),⊥-NA reduced 13.3 °(p0.01), ⊥-T increased 19.9 °(p0.01),A'UL-FH increased 10.4 °(p0.01),B'LL-FH increased 5.9 °(p0.01),A’LL-B’LL increased 15.8 °(p0.01). Conclusion: In Angle class Ⅱ 1cases,obvious soft and hard tissue profile changes can be achieved after extraction treatment .The main changes were the reduction of maxillary prominence and upper-lower lip prominence.
