Abstract

The Hebei clan was in full development in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Besides its uncertain causes, there are three define causes: 1. excellent immigration gene; 2. selective marriage; 3. a favorable clan atmosphere. These are the key causes that Hebei clan flourished in Ming and Qing dynasties.
