Abstract
In the structure design of gear chamber casing, strengthen rigidity and reducing weight were contrary. As an advanced dynamic and optimizing design method, the Finite Element modal analysis could make reasonable mass distribution of structure. In this paper, the modal character for ZH1105 engine casing of gear chamber was analyzed by the Finite Element modal analysis. At first, it introduced the fundamental theory of modal analysis. Secondly, it established 3 dimensional model of casing of gear chamber by I Deas software, and obtained the 10 ranks parameters and model of vibration. It provided the modified scheme for gear chamber design, and compared with the former in model analysis. The result indicated that the modified scheme improves the structure vibration characteristic obviously.
