Abstract

In this paper, spectrophotometric determination of bismuth with methyl violet in H_2 SO_4 medium has been described. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 1.42×10~4L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1)at 538nm. The method is high sensitivity and selectivity. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 20~250μg·ml~(-1) for bismuth.
