Determination of Paeonol in Paeonol Ointment by GC

Abstract

Objective To establish a method for determination of paeonol in paeonol ointment by GC.Methods The samples were injected into HP-5 Polar capillary columns by direct sampler with hydrogen flame ionized gas detector,carrier gas was nitrogen and methanol was solvent,content of paeonol was calculated in paeonol ointment by external standard method.Results There was excellent linearity between the peak area ratio and concentration of the paeonol in the concentration range of 5.1~51 μg · mL1,the average recovery was 99.1% with RSD of 0.4%(n=9).Conclusions This method was accurate and precise,it can be used for the determination of content of paeonol in paeonol ointment.
