Abstract

Bio-oil from fast pyrolysis of cottonwood is analyzed by GC-MS,which shows that the bio-oil contains a variety of useful organic component for the preparation of starch based adhesive. With the of bio-oil,pH value of starch emulsion after adding bio-oil,reaction time of bio-oil with starch emulsion and the amount of curing agent as experiment factors, the bonding strength as assessment indicators, the optimal process conditions of bio-oil starch adhesive are performed by orthogonal experiment. The results shows that the bonding strength of plywood pressed by bio-oil starch adhesive can reach index requirement of Ⅱ type plywood in GB/T 9846.3—2004 standard under the following conditions: 20% of the amount of bio-oil,7.5 of pH value of starch emulsion after adding bio-oil,45 minutes of reaction time of bio-oil with starch emulsion and 18% of the amount of curing agent.
