Abstract
In order to improve water resistance and reduce production cost of starch adhesives,so a bio-oil-PF(phenolic resin) modified starch adhesive was prepared. The influences of oxidant types, polymerization temperature, curing agent contents and other factors were discussed on main performances of modified starch adhesive by single factor analysis method. The results showed that the optimal process conditions of preparing modified starch adhesive were obtained when KMnO4 and H2SO4 were used as oxidants, polymerization temperature was 75 ℃ and mass fraction of curing agent was 12% in total adhesive. The modified starch adhesive, which was prepared under the optimal process conditions, had well bonding performances and could be widely used in Ⅱtype plywood production because the modified starch adhesive overcome some disadvantages such as water-degumming in tradition starch adhesive and higher free-aldehyde emission in PF adhesive.
