Observation of acupoint catgut embedding combined with Maren- zipi pill on constipation with gastrointestinal heat accumulate type

Objective To observe the clinical effects of acupoint catgut embedding combined with Maren-zipi pill on constipation with gastrointestinal heat accumulate type. Methods 120 constipation patients with gastrointestinal heat accumulate type were randomly divided into two groups. 60 patients in treatment group were treated by combined therapy of Baliao and Changqiang catgut embedding and Maren- zipi pill oral. 60 patients in control group were received Maren- zipi pill oral. The course was 4 weeks. The score of stool characters,the times of independent defecation per week and the changes of defecography before and after treatment were observed in two groups,and the curative effect was compared. Results The total effective rate in treatment group( 91. 67%) was superior to that in control group( 78. 33%,P 0. 05). The score of stool characters and the times of independent defecation per week after treatment were increased( P 0. 05). The numbers of 48,72 h residual makers of defecography after treatment were decreased( P 0. 05). The improvement in treatment group was superior to that in control group( P 0. 05).Conclusion The combined therapy of acupoint catgut embedding combined with Maren- zipi pill can improve the stool characters,increase the number of daily bowel movements and decrease defecation residual on constipation patients with gastrointestinal heat accumulate type.
