Abstract
OBJECTIVE An HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of aspirin and salicylic acid in chewing aspirin tablets was established.METHODS Diamonsil C18 column was used with methyl alcohol-acetic acid-water(45∶1∶54)as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0mL·min-1 and detecting wavelength was 275nm.RESULTS The linear range of aspirin was 0.54~10.85μg(r=0.9999)and average recovery was 100.9%,RSD=0.36%(n=5);The linear range of salicylic acid was 2.65~31.77μg·mL-1(r=1.0000) and average recovery was 102.3%,RSD=2.0%(n=5).CONCLUSION The method was simple, fast and accurate.
