Abstract
The existing network fault management system based on GSM/SMS has been restricted to simple network monitoring.When there is a fault,there is a one-way transmission of alert messages from a network monitoring SMS server to designated mobile phones through a GSM modem connected to the SMS server.This paper describes the design and implementation of a multi-user,multi-session,two-way network management system based on the GSM/SMS distributed network monitoring system,which uses the wireless GSM short message service(SMS) data transfer technology.So network managers can access the services on remote network equipment via a mobile phone.The presented system performs properly in using.
