Abstract
This paper presented a new method to determinate micro-amount of vanadium(Ⅴ) by spectrophotometry with V(Ⅴ)-KI-starch system. In the condition of acidity and unlight, vanadium oxidated KI and reacts with starch to form a blue product, which was in direct proportation to the micro-amount of vanadium.Beer' s law was obeyed in the range of 0-25ug/25ml.The apparent molar absorptivity was 2.60×104L/mol·cm.This method has been applied to the determination of micro-amount of vanadium(Ⅴ)in human hair with satisfactory results.
